PC Remote shows you the screen of another computer, a Windows PC or a Mac, and hands you its mouse, keyboard, files, clipboard and sound. At home it connects directly over your network; from anywhere else, by a nine-digit number, through a relay that cannot read the session. No account, no registration, nothing to set up on the router.

Everything you expect from a remote desktop
One program on both computers: it shares its own screen and controls others. The picture, the input, files and sound each travel over a channel of their own, so a large file on its way does not slow the mouse.
Live screen
Any monitor, or all of them stitched into one picture. Zoom up to 300 %. The codec changes on the fly: JPEG for a calm screen, H.264 for motion, encoded by the graphics card when it can.
Full control
Mouse, keyboard and text in any alphabet, whatever the layout on the other side. One button sends Alt+Tab, Win and PrintScreen there instead of here. A Windows computer's screen can be blacked out, with its own mouse and keyboard locked, while you work.
Files both ways
A two-pane window: your disks on the left, theirs on the right. Whole folders in either direction, drag and drop from Explorer. A half-copied file never pretends to be whole.
Shared clipboard
Copied text arrives by itself. A picture or a file travels at the moment you paste it: copy a file on one computer, press Ctrl+V on the other.
Sound
What plays on that computer is heard on this one: uncompressed at home, compressed over the internet. Changing headphones over there does not cut it off.
Lock screen and sign-in
Installed as a Windows service, it works before anyone signs in: on the lock screen, at the sign-in screen and with windows that ask for administrator rights. On a Mac it works while you are logged in, and its lock screen comes through too.
Installs itself
On Windows, one file of 7.0 MB installs, updates and removes itself, firewall rules included. Run a newer file, and it updates the installed program in place. The Mac gets an installer package.
English and Russian
The interface follows Windows or macOS when it is in English or Russian (any other language gets English), or what you pick in the settings.
Next door or in another city
Three routes to the computer, and nothing to choose: the program takes the shortest.
At home or in the office
Computers on one network find each other by themselves and connect directly: the best picture, uncompressed sound, and no internet needed at all.
From anywhere
Type in the computer's nine-digit number. The computer keeps an outgoing connection to the relay itself, so it needs neither a public IP nor port forwarding. Over the internet, only with a password.
By itself
When the computer can be reached both ways, the local route wins: it is faster and costs the relay nothing. Asleep on the same network? Wake it with Wake-on-LAN.
The relay cannot read your session
Not the screen, not the files, not the password: the session keys exist on the two computers only.
Known by its key
Every computer has a key pair of its own, and its ID is the fingerprint of the public key. The other side checks it on every connection, so nobody can pose as your PC, the relay included.
End-to-end encryption
A P-256 key exchange and AES-256-GCM, with fresh keys for every session: traffic recorded along the way cannot be decrypted later, even by someone who steals the computer's key.
The password never travels
It goes into the keys instead of over the wire, and is stored only as a PBKDF2 hash. It cannot be shorter than 12 characters: over the internet, it is the lock on the door.
